Common questions

Are TBB products suitable for New Zealand’s power supply?

Yes. The products we sell in New Zealand output 230V AC at 50Hz, the same as a household socket here.

Can I install a TBB system myself?

Low-voltage DC parts of a system, such as solar controllers and DC-DC chargers, are often installed by experienced owners. Anything connected to 230V wiring must be installed or certified by a licensed electrician, and caravans and motorhomes with 230V wiring need a current electrical warrant of fitness. If in doubt, ask one of our installers.

Which inverter charger is right for my campervan?

It depends on the appliances you want to run at the same time. Add up the wattage of the largest loads, such as an induction hob, microwave or kettle, and choose an inverter with headroom above that. Send us a list and we’ll recommend a size.

Do I need a DC-DC charger if I already have an isolator?

Usually, yes, if your vehicle has a smart alternator or you’re charging a lithium battery. A simple isolator can’t give either the charging voltage they need. A DC-DC charger delivers a full charge whenever the engine runs.

How do I make a warranty claim?

Contact the store you bought from first, with your proof of purchase and a description of the fault. They’ll work with us to assess and resolve it. If you can’t reach them, contact us directly.
